Our Expertise in the Geospatial and Digital Mapping Market

Parkview is a New York-based technology merchant bank that provides financial advisory services to emerging growth companies. Parkview also manages a fund which invests in the broad Information Technology sector.

Over the years, Parkview has developed an expertise in the Geospatial and Digital Mapping sector.

We recently acted as advisors on one of the most significant transactions in the sector - the sale of EarthData International, Inc., a Maryland-based provider of remote sensing, mapping, and GIS products and services, to Fugro N.V., a Dutch company that is a worldwide provider of onshore, offshore and aerial surveying. Over the last two years, Parkview worked with the owner of EarthData to develop a strategic plan and align the company's operations with the plan. Parkview thereafter managed the sale of EarthData from conception to conclusion. Our objective all along was to create value for the owner through strategic advice, operational support and effective execution of a strategic transaction.

In 2005, we also acted as advisors to Urban Data Solutions LLC, a New York-based 3D mapping company, on its sale to EarthData. In this context too, Parkview first developed a business plan for Urban Data Solutions, then a collection of 3D assets and technology, and sold the company with a plan for its development.
