Lewis Goldman is the founder and President of New Media Consulting, LLC, a firm specializing in leveraging tipping points in consumer behavior to accelerate growth, particularly through digital marketing. His clients range from online products retailers to large media companies. Recent assignments included increasing unit volume three-fold over the previous year as acting CMO, developing a customer relationship management and segmentation strategy to double monthly e-mail revenue, and providing a target company business strategy that significantly increased the market potential of a technology company.
Mr. Goldman has worked in E-Commerce and Internet business development and marketing since 1994. His experience includes recently serving as SVP, Marketing (CMO) for 1800flowers.com, where he transformed their approach to marketing by focusing on engaging with key customer segments through customized offers, messaging, and through social and mobile media. Previously, he worked at Citigroup, helping to launch and monetize the company’s Internet efforts while generating over 200,000 incremental accounts across virtually every consumer financial product. He has extensive business development experience, managing partnerships with AOL Time-Warner, Microsoft, and Yahoo. Earlier in his career he helped launch CNBC as the pre-eminent business news channel, and has worked at Sony, Colgate-Palmolive, and Foote, Cone, and Belding.
Mr. Goldman is a speaker at numerous Internet conferences and has been quoted in the New York Times, Internet Retailer, Adweek, and USA Today. He guest lectures at Hofstra and Columbia Business Schools, and is currently on the advisory boards of Fynanz.com, a student loan company, and Collider Media, a mobile company with patented targeting software.
He is a graduate of Harvard College and Columbia Business School.
