Avi Legmann

Mr. Legmann is a seasoned business and marketing strategist with over 20 years of operating experience in the technology and telecom sectors.

Mr. Legmann is currently the CEO of Onset Technology, a late stage venture in the mobile enterprise space. Prior to joining Onset Technology, Mr. Legmann was a Senior Vice President of Auspice, a Service assurance company, that was sold to Arris.

Prior to Auspice, Mr. Legmann was the CEO of Jay Young (JYC), a business accelerator that helped early stage western based ventures create a beachhead in APAC.

Prior to Jay Young, he was at Quarry Technologies, a late stage venture that spun off from BBN. He was the founder of the company, led it into several investment rounds, developed worldwide strategic relationships and opened new markets, as well as helped focus and position it into the growing security market.

Prior to joining Quarry Technologies, Mr. Legmann was Vice President and partner at Beacon Telco, a venture capital firm that resides within the Photonic Center of Boston University, where he focused on investments in telecommunications. At Beacon, he led investments (and joined investments) in early stage start-ups such as IntelCore (specialty fiber company), A123 (Telecom storage/battery venture), as well as Verlink's spin out.

Prior to Beacon, Mr. Legmann was Vice President of Business Development and Marketing at Elron TeleSoft, where he managed the creation of its U.S. beachhead, developed worldwide strategic alliances and business partnerships as well as led its transition from a professional services company to a product based company.

Previously, Mr. Legmann was Director of Strategic Alliances at BBN/GTE Internetworking and the head of Business Development for the Systems and Technologies Networking unit, which commercialized its technology through major strategic alliances and company spin-outs (the most notable of which was Quarry Technologies).

Mr. Legmann received an MBA from Boston University and a BS in Engineering from the Technion in Israel.
